近日,一批申请美国新泽西州考试的CPA考生申请被拒,新泽西州注册会计师协会深入调查此事,发现此事件发生的原因是由于新泽西州关于CPA报考教育要求的规定混乱不清。
The New Jersey Society of CPAs said Friday that a number of candidates for the CPA Exam in New Jersey have had their applications rejected by CPA Examination Services because of confusion over whether they had met the necessary education requirements.
When the NJSCPA looked into the matter,it discovered that there had been some confusion over the interpretation of the state's regulations governing educational requirements for CPAs.
The Society said it is working with the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy to resolve the matter in the best interests of CPA candidates and the public. It expects to make a more detailed announcement about that resolution after the State Board's next meeting on October 20.
In the meantime, the NJSCPA said that CPA Exam candidates whose applications were rejected by CPA Examination Services should request a waiver.CPAES will hold their waiver request until the State Board makes its announcement in late October, however.
CPA Exam candidates who have submitted applications, but have not yet received any type of notice from CPAES,should be aware that CPAES is holding their application until the State Board makes its announcement in late October.Any applications received between now and that announcement will be held until further action by the State Board.
For further information or questions, contact the NJSCPA by sending an email to students@njscpa.org.CPA Exam candidates can also join a free webinar,"CPA Exam Application Preparation: Dotting Your I's,Crossing Your T's,"on Tuesday,Nov.1,5:30-6:30 pm.The NJSCPA said it would be able to provide more specific information about the educational requirements at that time.
